Lillard’s personal trainer Cem Eren attests to the star’s distinctive approach to the sport. “Damian Lillard is not a basketball player,” Eren said to ESPN. “He’s a fighter who plays professional basketball.”

Being an avid fan of the sport, he couldn’t help but be left in awe of Crawford’s performance on Saturday night. He took to Twitter to pen down a note to him.

He wrote how Crawford’s performance was the “Best Performance” he’s seen. Furthermore, he also called him” a different type breed of a human!”

However, Lillard wasn’t the only NBA star in attendance during the iconic showdown. Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors and Dwyane Wade were also at the event.

Let’s hope Lillard keeps his fighting spirit intact. He will definitely need it for his upcoming season which is clouded in ambiguity.

Damian Lillard’s future still remains cloudy

The NBA has intervened to deal with the star player of the Portland Trail Blazers’ insistence on playing solely for the Miami Heat. This is a startling development in the ongoing Damian Lillard trade issue. The NBA took a firm stance by interviewing Lillard and his agent, Aaron Goodwin. His insistence could lead to strict disciplinary action from the league. The NBA also issued a memo to all 30 NBA teams, cautioning them against making similar trade demands in the future.

Here is what The Athletic’s Shams Charania, said during a recent episode of “The Rally”.

He says, “This just came in. The NBA sent a memo to its 30 NBA teams. Informing them that they have interviewed Damian Lillard and his agent Aaron Goodwin about his stance that he only wants to play in Miami. The league advised both Lillard and Goodwin that any future comments, as far as him only wanting to play in Miami, would subject him to discipline if those comments were to continue. As well as a warning to the NBPA that any future comments by players, [or] their agents, that are similar to the ones that are ‘I only want to play for this specific team,’ in a trade request, could also be subject to potential discipline as well.”

Even though the Trail Blazers may try to accommodate his wish to join a contending team, Lillard’s chances of getting a transfer to his desired location have been lowered.
