There are many concerns for the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of their match against the Utah Jazz tonight. Chief among them is the injury status of their primary offensive duo, Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid. The reigning MVP experienced soreness in his left knee, leading to his absence from consecutive games against the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers on January 27 and 29.

Philly has meanwhile faced the absence of Tyrese Maxey in the last three games due to a sprained left ankle. The team has not secured a single victory in this period, marking its longest losing streak of the season, currently at 0-3. With that said, the two looming questions for the Sixers are Maxey’s viability tonight and Embiid’s health.

As of now, the Maxey is listed as questionable. And his status is “Out” like his other teammates De’Anthony Melton, Kenneth Lofton Jr, and Embiid. The 23-year-old has been the secondary offensive option after Harden went to the Clippers and has been a breakout star for Philly.

Which is actually why his sustained absence raises concerns for the Sixers. This season the Kentucky alum has been averaging 25.7 points a game which is five points more than he did last season. As Joel Embiid is away, he is the only offensive option. So that might be a huge reason for panic after what happened to the reigning MVP against the Warriors.
