In 1992, Mike Tyson, the youngest heavyweight boxing champion, faced a tough time. An Indiana jury convicted him of raping 18-year-old Desiree Washington in February of that year. The two met during a rehearsal for the Miss Black America pageant in Indianapolis in July 1991. Tyson got a 10-year prison sentence and a four-year suspension after his conviction.

He began serving his sentence at the Indiana Youth Center near Plainfield in March 1992 and was released in March 1995. Now, 31 years later, a video resurfaces where ‘Iron Mike’ threatened an interviewer for bringing up the subject in an interview.  Moreover, Kevin Nash, an American actor and retired wrestler, reviewed this video on his podcast ‘Kliq This.’ As renowned, Nash wrestled for WWF, WCW, and TNA. He won multiple championships. Furthermore, WWE inducted him into their Hall of Fame twice. Thus, his take on the incident sparks the intrigue of both boxing and WWE fans.

In the video Nash reviews, we see a visibly upset Tyson, who was unexpectedly questioned about his rape conviction during an interview. However, Kevin loves Mike’s take on the interview. As ‘Kid Dynamite’ lashed out at the interviewer, Kevin was in splits. He even said, “There’s a reason why I love the man. That was Mike and the manager there.”

Furthermore, Sean Oliver, the co-host of the show even lauded the guts of the interviewer to ask such a bold question on Live TV. Nash said, “I don’t know why an interviewer would want to make their bones and think that they’re going to get some coverage by testing Mike on their talk show. This is the one where he tells Mike he can’t curse because it’s live TV.  Moreover, Oliver made a hilarious analogy of the incident with their own. As Oliver said, That was me and you [Kevin Nash] at Hyde Park when you were getting your steak delivered. It’s fine, it’s fine.”

However, the question that still lingers is what actually transpired that made Mike rage.

Why did ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ get enraged in the interview?

So, Mike was there to discuss his new political ventures. Furthermore, this political involvement included Mayor Ford. The interview’s focus was supposed to be Tyson’s role in politics. However, amid the array of questions, the interviewer unexpectedly asked him about his 31-year-old rape conviction, sparking his fury.

The interviewer seemed to echo critics’ concerns that Tyson’s criminal past could harm the Mayor’s campaign. This made Tyson lose his temper and insult the interviewer. When the interviewer tried to take a detour, ‘Kid Dynamite’ deflected with rage. The interviewer asked, “Is it nerve-wracking for you to do something like this, or is it more nerve-wracking for you to box?” In his anger, Tyson said, “It’s more nerve-wracking coming here and talking to a piece of work like you.” Furthermore, he added saying, “You seem like a nice guy, but you’re actually a piece of sh**t. So f**k you.”
