Sean O’Malley Branded “Generational Athlete” as Jake and Logan Paul Celebrate UFC 229 Win

Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, came alive with two of the crowd favorites sealing their victories at UFC 299. The co-main event saw Dustin Poirier knock the lights out of Benoit Saint-Denis in the second round. Later, in the headliner, ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley scored a unanimous victory over Marlon Vera. Scores of fans and followers have been posting their congratulatory messages for the winners. Jake Paul and his elder brother Logan Paul joined a few in lauding ‘Suga’.

O’Malley and Vera are meeting for the second time. Four years ago, in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Ecuadorian mixed martial artist defeated the American via technical knockout. With tonight’s win, the 29-year-old MMA fighter has evened the record.

Logan and Jake Paul Tip Hat to Sean O’Malley for Dominant Win

The fact that all five rounds went in favor of ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley seemingly left Jake Paul astonished. Wishing the UFC bantamweight champion for his successful title defense, Paul wrote, “5 ROUNDS TO 0: Congrats, Sean Young legend.”

The ‘Fight of the Night’ award went to the Dustin Poirier and Benoit Saint-Dennis duel. Alongside Jack Della Maddalena, Curtis Blaydes, Michel Pereira, and Robelis Despaigne, Sean O’Malley received the ‘Performance of the Night’ honor.

A few minutes later, brother Logan Paul joined. Calling O’Malley an exceptional athlete, ‘The Maverick’ said, “Sean O’Malley is a generational athlete.”

The professional wrestler won the United States national championship last November. He won the title at the Royal Rumble on January 27. However, during the Elimination Chamber: Perth that took place on February 24, he had to face elimination.

‘The Problem Child’: Conquering the Combat Sports Realm

Brother Jake Paul, on the other hand, won another battle against a professional boxer last week in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After knocking out Andre August in the first round of their bout last December, ‘The Problem Child’ stopped Ryan Bourland in the opening round of their fight. Last year, on February 26, he faced Tommy Fury, the first professional boxer he faced as an opponent in his four-year-old fighting career. But unfortunately, the outcome didn’t turn out favorably, as Jake Paul lost the match by a split decision.

A few days ago, the news of Jake Paul facing former heavyweight champion and boxing great Mike Tyson sent shock waves across the boxing world. The duo will reportedly meet on July 20 at the Arlington, Texas-based At & T Stadium. Per the available accounts, the heavyweight fight, a first for ‘The Problem Child’, will be streamed by Netflix.
