It was expected that by the end of 2023, Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury would share the ring and offer the sport an undisputed Heavyweight champion. Although Usyk agreed to Fury’s 70-30 “greedy-belly” deal, the greatly-anticipated Usyk vs. Fury ultimately collapsed since the duo could not agree on “material terms” beyond the purse split. Following the collapse, while Usyk faced a mandatory challenger in Daniel Dubois, Tyson Fury is on his way to fight Francis Ngannou inside the boxing ring.
Ahead of the Ngannou vs. Fury fight, ESPN insider Mike Coppinger reported that Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk is “heating up again“. According to Coppinger, “lots of optimism” indicates that the bout will finally happen next year in Saudi Arabia. In this context, as talkSPORT correspondent Michael Benson shared the news via a tweet, several people reacted to it.

Fans doubt that Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury will come to fruition in 2024
According to John Fury, ‘The Gypsy King’ should pursue Jon Jones after the fight with Ngannou this year. In John’s opinion, Fury and Jones should participate in an “all-in battle“. While John Fury expects Tyson to fight Jon Jones next, ‘The Gypsy King’ has not yet revealed his plans after the Ngannou fight. To know, whether or not he will face Usyk in 2024, fans will still have to wait for some time. Anyway, after Benson’s tweet, a fan hoped that they would see Usyk and Fury finally share the ring.
In this context, they referred to Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford:
We saw this time and time again with Bud and Spence.
The fight eventually got made.
