“He Wants a Piece of the King “: Weeks After Being Called Out by Conor McGregor, KSI Remains Brutally Honest About Potential Showdown With UFC Superstar

After Anthony Joshua defeated Robert Helenius, atendee Conor McGregor stepped inside the ring and declared that he wanted to fight KSI next. Stating KSI could not even “box eggs“, McGregor challenged the CEO of Misfits to a bare-knuckle fight. Moments after McGregor’s offer, KSI took to X and claimed that he had Conor on his “d*ck already“. Ahead of his upcoming bout with Tommy Fury on October 14th, KSI spoke in detail about ‘The Notorious’ calling him out.

In an interview organized by Misfits Boxing, KSI declared that it was “pretty weird” when McGregor called him out. While he found McGregor’s speech “embarrassing,” KSI understood why ‘The Notorious’ wanted to pursue the CEO of Misfits Boxing. Although he felt that the mixed martial artist “looked a little stupid there,” KSI expressed his interest in facing the Irish fighter in boxing.

KSI believes Conor McGregor understands where the “money’s at”

On being asked about McGregor calling him out, the YouTuber-turned-boxer declared that the latter wanted a bite of the cherry. In addition, KSI felt McGregor embarrassed himself by doubting the former’s boxing skills. “It was pretty weird if I’m being honest. I think I heard Conor saying that I can’t box. And this and that. And it was pretty embarrassing because ‘AJ’ was like ‘Nah, that’s my guy’. He looked a little stupid there, ” the 30-year-old said.

In his opinion, knowing where the “money’s at,” McGregor just wanted a piece of the king. “With Conor, clearly, I think he wants a bite of the cherry. He wants a piece of the king. He understands that this, right here, is where the money’s at,” said KSI. On being asked if getting called out by Mcgregor was surreal to him, KSI answered in negative.

McGregor is a “normal person” the CEO of Misfits is interested in

According to KSI, it did not really surprise him when McGregor called him out. Although ‘The Notorious’ formerly held two titles in the UFC, KSI thinks he “is a normal person at the end of the day”. “Same as me, I’m just a normal guy. So, I treat everyone the same. Just because he’s Conor McGregor, doesn’t mean anything to me,” the CEO of Misfits explained with a calm demeanour.

On being asked if Mcgregor was a potential next opponent, he said, “You never know.
