Five months ago when Conor McGregor appeared on Ariel Helwani‘s The MMA Hour, the Irish mixed martial artist declared that Francis Ngannou “made an error” by leaving the UFC. In McGregor’s opinion, the former UFC Heavyweight champion should have at least got “a belt under the belt“. While McGregor called the UFC “the pinnacle,” ‘The Notorious’ is of the opinion that Ngannou “kind of took the shine off of him” as he left the UFC.
In his response to those who believe Ngannou made a mistake by leaving the UFC, Tyson Fury recently branded the Cameroonian-French fighter “a genius” on his way “to make $10 million”. Here is what ‘The Gypsy King’ added.

With a “colossal event,” Tyson Fury gives Conor McGregor a reality check
According to Conor McGregor, Francis Ngannou left the UFC way too early. Speaking with Ariel Helwani, ‘The Notorious said, “Ngannou, I mean think of all he got. He’s getting the accommodation, getting everything sorted. He totally made an error, to be honest. Get a belt under the belt and then maybe start.” “It kind of took the shine off of him how he went. But I wish him well,” McGregor added.
While McGregor decried Ngannou leaving his beloved company, ‘The Gypsy King’ called his upcoming fight with ‘The Predator’ “a colossal event“. “[It’s a] colossal, colossal event. You’ve got me and Francis Ngannou here. Everyone said he was an idiot walking away from the UFC, and now he’s a genius – the guy’s about to make $10 million,” Fury announced. According to Fury, Saudi Arabia is taking over the game, and his fight with Ngannou occupies “a very special time in sports“.
Fury calls Saudi Arabia “the world’s biggest stage”
At this pace, Fury believes within the next 10 years, Saudi Arabia will be “the powerhouse of all sports“. “Within five years, 10 years, they’re going to be the powerhouse of all sports.
