Episode 6 of The Ultimate Fighter season 31 saw a dramatic showdown. Team McGregor’s Lee Hammond went against Michael Chandler’s Kurt Holobaugh. The season has not been that great for Conor McGregor. He seems to be quite desperate to secure his team’s first win in the books.
The bout between Hammond and Holobaugh saw highs and lows, as the former was impressive in the first round. However, the Irish fighter was met with a guillotine choke in the next round and tapped out.
Meanwhile, the reality series showed ‘The Notorious’, training his team in the basics of boxing.

McGregor was impressed with Hammond’s performance as he said, “Lee, that was a f***ing flawless performance.” Calling Holobaugh’s win lucky, Conor added, “He got lucky there. Head up. I’m proud of you mate. It happens. He didn’t land one shot on you, you were absolutely timing him.” However, the episode also features Conor McGregor taking shots at Michael Chandler as the frustration of his sixth loss got to him.
McGregor told Chandler, “Some of these kids were in the UFC before you were in the UFC.” Seemingly a jibe at the fact that Chandler’s team encompasses UFC veterans, while Conor is training newbies.
