Recently, on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Ngannou explained his vision of the fight with Fury. As per Ngannou’s understanding, ‘The Gypsy King’ would take advantage of his reach and try to drag the bout into a decision. Hence, the Cameroonian fighter feels it is crucial to close in on the distance and refuse Fury to get comfortable inside the ring.

Although a number of people feel that Ngannou might land a shot on Fury by “chance“, the 36-year-old believes he is preparing himself to win. As he said, “I would have to break his distance because he’s pretty good on the distance. Have to expose myself. Without hesitation, the current WBO Welterweight champion announced Francis Ngannou had a “zero” chance against Tyson Fury. While Crawford’s statement may hurt the sentiments of MMA fans and supporters of Francis Ngannou, Crawford answered with all sincerity. Indeed, as Ngannou himself said, reach is going to play a critical role in the bout since Tyson Fury is 6’9 and Francis Ngannou is just 6’3.
