Ryan Garcia’s Rampage: Sean Strickland Blames Early-Age Brain Damage From Boxing

On March 5th, as per his daily ritual, Ryan Garcia took to X in an attempt “to explain what’s going on” with him. In doing so, Garcia mentioned that he was denied access to his Instagram while his cards were “locked“. Looking dejected, ‘KingRy’ claimed he was being taken “advantage of“. But, in his reply to Garcia, Sean Strickland was annoyed that while there were children “begging for one more day” under critical circumstances, Garcia, “famous” and “RICH,” was having a mental breakdown on X.

At this, as expected, following Strickland’s reply, ‘KingRy’ bantered with the former UFC champion. In one of the comments, he even condemned Sean for giving Sneako a “concussion” during their fight. Today, Strickland publicly claimed Garcia received brain damage from boxing.

Sean Strickland opposes Sean O’Malley’s assessment of Ryan Garcia’s latest antics on social media

After Ryan Garcia shocked the boxing community with his statements at the press conferences ahead of Devin Haney, Sean O’Malley offered a possible explanation for Garcia’s behavior. According to Sean, Garcia’s mental turmoil was due to the fact that he received fame and wealth at a very young age. “Becoming very popular and famous at a young age is dangerous,” said Sean O’Malley. Later, he also alleged that Garcia was under the influence when he wrote those questionable tweets. However, Sean Strickland feels Garcia has brain damage as ‘KingRy’ started boxing at the age of seven.

Taking to X, Sean Strickland shared Ryan Garcia’s Wikipedia page and wrote, “No amount of money is worth the damage that has been done to this kids brain… I’m out..”  At this while, while Strickland holds early-age boxing accountable for Garcia’s recent behavior on social media, one must mention that before turning pro, Ryan had only 44 amateur fights. As an amateur, he lost 15 fights and won 29 matches in the ring.

Anyway, unlike the incident on March 5th, Garcia did not reply to Strickland. On the other hand, yesterday, Garcia pledged not to write about anything other than boxing and his fights on X. “5 weeks of focus.
