Last night’s match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou has ushered in a new paradigm. The bout that took place in all its glory in Saudi promises fighters that despite titles not being on the line, there can be fights that will guarantee them a massive payday. In pursuit of such kind of fight is Claressa Shields.

Recently, in an online conversation with former UFC featherweight champion, Cris Cyborg, Shields called her out for a fight. This happened after the Fury-Ngannou fight concluded, coincidence?

It all started when Cyborg nudged  Katie Taylor for a fight. She wrote, “Gimme Katie Taylor.”  Unfortunately for Cyborg, Taylor is all set to enter into a  rematch against Chantelle Cameron on the 25th of November.

The former UFC star last fought in the Octagon against Simone Da Silva in 2022.

However, in response came another abled fighter who has time and again taken up some lucrative fights in her career. Shields wrote, “Me and you can fight @criscyborg” However, their discussion did not allude to where they’d fight- Octagon or the squared circle.
