Anthony Joshua’s fight against Robert Helenius had riveting pre and post-fight drama. Before the fight, Joshua’s anticipated fight against Dillian Whyte fell flat after the latter tested positive on a VADA test. Post fight? The story took a bizarre twist with KSI being dragged into the story. Who dragged him? The one and only two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor.

Moments after AJ won the bout, McGregor entered the ring to boldly challenge the influencer-turned-boxer, KSI to a matchup that most did not see coming. Mcgregor took an out-of-the-blue dig at KSI by stating that he could not “box eggs if he worked in an egg boxing factory” further inviting him for a fight to prove his worth. In a fraction of minutes after the scathing declaration, the MisFits CEO took to his X claiming that he had Conor on his “d*ck already”. Months after this confrontation, KSI has spoken out about how he felt when McGregor made the shocking offer.

‘The Nightmare’ is currently preparing for his much-anticipated fight against Tommy Fury. Recently, he shared his thoughts on the  remarks ‘The Notorious’ made about him post the Joshua-Helenius fight.

He said, “Pretty weird if I’m being honest. I think I heard Conor saying that I can’t box. And that I’m this and that.” Furthermore weird because AJ came out in support of KSI as McGregor continued to make those statements. KSI elaborated, “And it was pretty embarrassing for him because AJ was like, “nah nah that’s my guy.’ So he looked a little stupid there.

Moreover, the British fighter also thinks the reason why McGregor wants to fight him is because he wants to leverage KSI’s position in the boxing realm. He said, “But yeah, with Conor, clearly I think, he wants a pie or the cherry, he wants a piece of the king. He understands that this right here is where the money is at.”

The Notorious continued to make some scathing remarks on KSI while AJ continued his victory lap at the O2 in London. However, at one point KSI found some solid support at his side as the latter rushed to talk in his favor. Calling KSI his ‘guy’, AJ stopped McGregor from taking further shots. Days after this incident, the heavyweight boxer broke his silence on what actually went down in the ring that night.

33-year-old Joshua said, “I went around the ring and I bumped into Conor McGregor on my victory lap.” After giving him the ceremonial greetings, AJ was about to continue his victory lap when McGregor confronted AJ about KSI. He said, “I know your man KSI is in the crowd and he couldn’t box eggs if he worked in an egg boxing factory.” He further offered to fight KSI in a bare-knuckle fight. However, AJ would not join McGregor in disregarding KSI. He said, “I know KSI so I’m not going to start throwing slurs at him, that’s my guy, so what’s going on.
