The WBC women’s super middleweight title is vacant at the moment. There are talks that Claressa Shields might soon step in for a swoop. This revelation comes after Savanah Marshall suffered a devastating injury that forced her to stay outside of the ring until April 2024. Therefore, the WBC has decided to keep the champion in recess for the division to be active. This leads to the question, who will fight for the vacant title?
One possible contender for the match is Shadasia Green. The 34-year-old was the mandatory fight for Marshall. She has also earned the right to become the next champion. However, that very well depends on whether she is able to take on whoever is chosen as her opponent. So who is the possible matchup for Green? Will it be Claressa Shields?
