Conor Benn has officially announced his upcoming bout against undefeated Peter Dobson, following the cancellation of his much-anticipated grudge match with Chris Eubank Jr. Nigel Benn’s 27-year-old son is scheduled to face the American welterweight on February 3, in Las Vegas. Kalle Sauerland, Eubank Jr.’s promoter, declared an end to negotiations between Eubank Jr. and Benn for a potential match.
Benn testing positive for a prohibited substance had disrupted the initial agreement for a fight between Eubank Jr. and him. The welterweight, poised to take on the former IBO super-middleweight champion last October, faced obstacles with a pair of failed pre-fight drug tests, derailing the anticipated bout. In a recent development, Benn has snapped back at Chris Eubank Jr.’s cousin and pro boxer Harlem Eubank for his comments lambasting both him and his next opponent.

Dobson boasts an undefeated record of 16-0 with nine knockouts. However, he has not stepped into the ring for more than a year. Harlem poked fun at Benn’s choice of opponent after hyping fans up about a fight against his cousin and even Devin Haney, the new junior welterweight champion. Benn was not sitting silent about this. He responded by saying “Your cousin priced himself out because he’s a spineless wan*er,” taking a direct shot at Eubank Jr.
Very simple to be honest Harry
Your cousin priced himself out because he’s a spineless wanker
Haney mentioned my name not the other way around. And isn’t available that date and you are an irrelevant second cousin and your only getting coverage because junior sacked his dad https://t.co/D8kUvLoR9f

He also reminded Harlem that Haney was the one who mentioned his name first and not the other way around. He pulled Harlem too into the mix. Making his final point, he lashed back, “You are an irrelevant second cousin and your only getting coverage because junior sacked his dad.”

In another tweet, Benn also lashed out at Eubank Jr. asserting that Eubank Jr. is avoiding a welterweight clash. Benn boldly stated, “He’s scared. I wasn’t joking when I said I’d end his career. He’s a p***y. He should retire.” This outspoken declaration follows the fallout of their February 3rd bout, marked by controversy and unmet expectations.
Speaking openly with Boxing Social, Benn not only delivered verbal blows, declaring, “It makes no difference to me; next year I become world champion.” This proclamation reflects Benn’s determination to rise in the boxing world, independent of Eubank Jr.’s involvement.
