Mike Tyson is one of the most highly celebrated yet tragic figures in the history of boxing. He rose up from a poor childhood in the crime-ridden streets of Brooklyn, New York. He often recounts his experiences there and how the environment influenced him. The young Tyson once even ended up in a standoff against police. From such an environment, reaching the top of the Heavyweight division is undoubtedly a testament to his talent and determination. When he was in his prime Tyson was one of the highest paid athletes in the world.

He was swimming in the fortune from all the deals and fights as he rose to the pinnacle of fame. However, all the glitz and glamour led the boxer towards his downfall. He spent his money on jewelry, expensive cars, and mansions. His net worth currently stands at $10 million, even though he earned more than $300 million throughout his career. Tyson had too big a heart even then as he loved buying cars and even giving them away to others. One time he gave away a Bentley to rapper Ed Lover.

Previously in an interview with Vlad TV, he stated, “Yeah, I had cars. Cars and money didn’t mean nothing to me. Like you said, if I had $300 million …. What would $500,000 matter?”. Recently he took to Instagram to share a post of him along with a Bentley. In the caption he wrote, “I can’t count how many of these I’ve lost.” Through the post, the boxer reminisced about the time he was at the top of his game where money didn’t mean that much to him.
