Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a family man through and through. In 2021, he became a grandfather after Iyanna Mayweather gave birth to Kentrell Gaulden Jr., the son she has with rapper NBA Youngboy. Kentrell Gaulden Jr. is not just the grandson of Floyd Mayweather but also Melissa Brim, who is the retired boxer’s baby mama and Iyanna’s mother. However, she has a personality of her own.

Amongst other things, she is a mother and an entrepreneur. Her presence on social media is huge. In a recent post, she celebrated the birthday of her grandson and penned a heartfelt message to him. So, without further ado, let’s find out everything she had to say.

Melissa Brim is a doting grandmother

Brim has an active social media presence and does not shy away from sharing glimpses of her personal life with her 400,000 followers. In a recent post, she shared videos and selfies of her grandson with her and wished him a happy third birthday. In addition, she revealed that his birth has had a positive effect on her life. She stated in the captions, “Happy Happy Birthday, you have been the greatest blessing in our whole family’s life. You are the smartest, loving, funny, kind-hearted kid I know. You have changed my world & made me such a better human. I’m so thankful that GOD gave you to your mommy you’re more than wonderful!!! The Big 3 I love you my KJ.” 

It is safe to say that the two share a great bond with each other. Also, Brim is not only grateful for him but also for the fact that he was born to her daughter. She acknowledged that he is the best thing to happen for their entire family. Such words just go to show the importance of Gaulden Jr. in her life. Moreover, it is intriguing that only a couple of days ago, Mayweather too had shared a similar post about his grandson.

Mayweather gets candid about his grandson

Like Brim, Mayweather too deeply cares about his grandson and loves him with all his heart. In a wholesome post on Instagram, he remarked that his grandson has been a blessing to them and that there is no other way he would have wanted it to be. He stated, “Most times I say if I could do it all over I would change things, but now that I have my grandson I wouldn’t change a thing because I wouldn’t have him in my life.”
