In a highly anticipated clash, MMA veteran Nate Diaz and controversial boxer Jake Paul faced off in a celebrity bout in Dallas. Diaz brought his aggressive striking to the ring. Paul on the other hand aimed to prove his boxing legitimacy. This was the final showdown of the rivalry between the two that dates to almost a year ago.

The match showcased Diaz’s experience in MMA, landing significant shots, but Paul’s signature style and technical prowess kept him in the fight. The audience was on the edge of their seats as both fighters displayed determination and heart. While the judges rendered a decision in favor of Jake, the impact of this showdown on the combat sports world lingers. The fight saw Jake go heavy on his opponent, so much so that he knocked him down in the fifth round. Coping with sharp blows that he landed, Nate however, recuperated to only lose in a unanimous decision at the end of the 10 rounds.  However, as the fight came to an end, Nate Diaz did not seem that upset about his loss. As he sat at the post-fight press conference, there was something else that was all set to take him out.

After facing his first defeat in his first professional boxing bout, Nate Diaz sat in for a post-fight press conference. The conversation entailed a lot of things, especially a shocking praise for Jake Paul. However, the element of the press conference that stole the show was when a projector screen almost landed in front of him.

Dressed in white, and black shades covering his eyes, all in jest, Nate yelled, “Yo! Turn it off!”, as the projector screen came descending down in front of him at the conference. He further joked about the perfect timing of the screen coming down. However, it was not just this. He said something else at the conference that shocked folks.

Boxing over MMA? Nate seems to insinuate that

In the same post-fight press conference, Nate seemed to have a lot of things to say. In one of the segments, he boldly insinuated that he felt boxing was a tad bit easier than MMA. Especially from the gloves’ point of view. He said, “It just felt like sparring. Obviously, the gloves are smaller (than sparring gloves) but way different and bigger than MMA. I don’t like MMA gloves, either, though, ‘cause I can’t land as good a punch, and it doesn’t feel as good to land punches. I like the 8 oz gloves.”

Nate also spoke about a possible MMA bout against Jake Paul. He said he would fight Jake in an MMA fight. He also mentioned the time when the boxer was boasting about his wrestling credentials which he thought was funny. Talking about the minimal injuries he sustained, Nate also said that he would be ready for the MMA fight in two or three months.
