Floyd Mayweather has currently been on a tour in South Africa, promoting local boxers through his brand, TMT. Mayweather received a lot of warm welcome from the citizens of both Zimbabwe and Africa. Mayweather was received with much fanfare in both countries. Moreover he recently even made headlines after he allegedly spent over $7 million at a Gucci store. Video footage showed him leaving the store surrounded by his security detail.

Recently, he uploaded a video of him surrounded by women performing one of their traditional songs on Instagram. Mayweather soon joined the group and starts to move as well. He also took some selfies with the performers. The caption of the video reads, “In America I want the brother man to show love like they do in the Motherland.”

Mayweather has referred to his current travel as the “Motherland Tour”. He is certainly enjoying the wholehearted welcome he has received from the citizens.

Floyd Mayweather states his desire for American “Brother man”

Fans had a lot of mixed responses to the boxing legend’s latest post. Previously, fans didn’t appear too happy with his visit to the country as the video of an interview with a South African boxing legend surfaced.

Meanwhile, some fans expressed humorous critiques like 187_smoke1, who suggested, “Stop wearin your hat like u in highschool or sum ni**a… push that sh*t onto your head.”

Another fan in4mous1 emphasized the need for genuine affection. He stated, “And in the motherland, they want the brother to not record them and genuinely show love not just for the cameras.” 

It appears that the person does not believe Mayweather’s intentions for visiting the country to be pure.

 

Meanwhile, southpaw.tv, exclaimed, “FLOYD DESERVES THIS TYPE OF LOVE IN AMERICA.”

cavidzosca proposed a philanthropic approach. He suggested, “You could build schools or a boxing academy for those with talent.”

However justkatlee jokingly pointed out that the song the group was singing is sung during wedding ceremonies. He remarked, “They hit him with wedding songs.”

Finally, alicechiro‘s wrote, “Y’all forced him.”
