“Won’t Believe this Fight Is Happening Until…”: Ahead of Francis Ngannou Bout, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Uysk Finally Signing a Deal Leaves Fans Dumbstruck

In March, since Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk did not agree on other material terms beyond the purse split, the bout embraced an unprecedented standstill. In this context, Usyk’s manager mentioned how the Ukrainian boxer “was pushed for more” despite the compromises he made. However, in April, speaking to IFL TV, Eddie Hearn informed the boxing world about the possibility of a $400 Million card featuring Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, and Oleksandr Usyk. 

While the fans remained skeptical about the $400 Million card, Tyson Fury soon found his next fight in Francis Ngannou, a former champion in UFC. However, with less than a month left for Ngannou, and in the wake of calling Usyk “a nobody,” a bomb was dropped by ‘The Gypsy King’.

In a recent interview, Fury belittled the accomplishments of Usyk. Besides suggesting there is little glory in defeating ‘The Cat,’ the WBC title holder stated Usyk could not sell out a “leisure center” in Morecambe. Along these lines, he even mentioned that Usyk had “zero personality“. As a result, after Fury announced he signed a deal with Usyk, fans were in disbelief. Given the fact that he announced the Usyk fight before his bout with Ngannou on October 28th, a number of fans are of the opinion that Fury is shrugging off Francis.
