Artur Beterbiev is one of the biggest names in the light heavyweight division. He is also one of the few boxers to have a 100% knockout rate in his professional career. The Russian fighter has fought in 19 battles and won all of them, showing dominance throughout. Whether he can keep this knockout record going or not against Callum Smith on January 13 is a question we all hold.

The unified champion has his fights planned out for him. If he does manage to beat Smith, he will go on to fight the WBA champion, Dmitry Bivol. Having grown during the Chechen war, Beterbiev knows of hardships and the importance of showing heart. As fight day appears closer and closer, Beterbiev took to social media platform X to talk about what it takes to be strong.

A boxing fight does not just take technical skills and physical power, but also heart and emotional strength, to win. Beterbiev fully knows that, as he writes, “A strong person is not muscles. A strong person is a person with an inner core, with a persistent character,” talking about how he thinks that a real strong person is someone with persistence.

Beterbiev then continues to list down the qualities of a strong person, saying, “Courage, bravery, justice, nobility distinguish a strong person from a weak one”. Moreover, he believes that a weak man lacks all the mentioned qualities, as they are exactly what one needs to become strong. He mentions how sometimes all of us miss these qualities. As he goes into this tough fight against Smith, it is clear that he needs everything to be his strongest self in the day.

Eddie Hearn believes Callum Smith beats Artur Beterbiev

Hearn, including every other fan in the world, knows how tough of an opponent Beterbiev is. But either way, he believes that Smith has got it in the bag. Hearn said, “Every time I think about this fight, you know, as Callum does, just catch/counter, I can see him knocking out Artur Beterbiev out cold in Quebec. It’s a tough task but I really believe he’s going to do it”.
