On December 23, over a year after his last fight against Robert Helenius, Deontay Wilder would return on the same card as Anthony Joshua. Ahead of the upcoming event, recently, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ took to Instagram and called out ‘AJ’ to materialize a fight everyone is hoping to see. In a confident statement, claiming he was ready to go, Wilder urged Joshua to reciprocate. At this, while fans hoped for Wilder vs. ‘AJ,’ the duo would respectively face Otto Wallin and Joseph Parker.

On that note, as the boxers now attended the press conference with their respective promoters, Wilder sent Joshua a direct message. Besides expressing his delight, Wilder wished ‘AJ’ the best for the Parker fight. In addition, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ announced he would try to knock out his upcoming opponent and Joshua in future.

As per Wilder’s mentioned Instagram post, it would result in a “major disaster” if he and ‘AJ’ never share the ring. Likewise, since the prospect of the fight is now pretty much within their reach, Wilder was happy. In this context, addressing Joshua, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ declared they would deliver what the people want once and for all. Here is what he said:

It’s good to be in the same room with him. To see him face to face. It’s been a long time coming. I wish him nothing but the best, bro. And hopefully, soon, we can get it on in the ring. Get the people what they want, once and for all,” said Wilder.

But I wish you nothing but the best even if it doesn’t happen. I believe it will happen. It’s about that time,” he confidently stated. Besides hoping that the fight would now come to fruition, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ took the pain to reveal that he was cooking a KO in the kitchen.

KO and unification: Wilder discloses his “main goal”

Wilder took immense pride in the December 23 card which featured “so many warriors” in his language. In this context, speaking about his bout with Joshua, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ explained that he understood people watched heavyweight boxing for “excitement.” And in his opinion, it was the knockouts that excited people the most.  Likewise, he said, “Most of all come to see knockouts. And one thing is for sure, when I come that’s what I come to deliver.

Come December 23rd, I’m coming to do the same thing,” Wilder added. Along these lines, he revealed that his main goal was to unify the belts. “I’m on the same mission to regain my title. And to unify the division, that’s my main goal,” Wilder, who wishes to be a champ in the UFC too, concluded.
