Canelo Alvarez and Jaime Munguia will soon lock horns at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. This highly anticipated clash pits the undisputed super middleweight champion against a hungry challenger. However, there’s a twist. This, reportedly, a one-fight deal, is raising eyebrows. Last June, Canelo and his promoters, Premier Boxing Champions, signed a three-fight agreement. However, he left the promotion earlier this month after only doing one of the three fights. Now, he has returned to the PBC for one more fight, which is against Munguia. Will he stay for a third?

The Vegas heat isn’t the only thing rising as Jaime Munguia prepares for his May 4th fight against Canelo Alvarez. This all-Mexican showdown on Cinco de Mayo weekend promises fireworks both inside and outside the ring. However, Alvarez is not far too behind as well. He has now shared training footage from his camp. However, fans can’t help but focus on that one fight that he was supposed to fight under the PBC against a much-vaunted opponent, David Benavidez.

In a video uploaded on Instagram, Canelo Alvarez was seen training with his older brother Ricardo Alvarez. Alvarez recorded a session of skipping ropes while he was spotted in a white T-shirt and black shorts, and his brother donned an all-black jacket and shorts. Ricardo Alvarez is a professional boxer as well, so it was quite a wholesome scenario seeing both brothers putting in the work beside one another.

Canelo Alvarez isn’t wasting any time getting fight-ready for his May 4th clash with Jaime Munguia. While the fight date offers some breathing room, Canelo’s training is already in overdrive. But his strategy extends beyond the usual gym routines. Canelo is incorporating a unique recovery method – ice baths in frigid temperatures. These bone-chilling plunges help with muscle recovery and can help push Canelo’s physical and mental limits.

Well, even though, the fans are getting a Mexican vs. Mexican historic fight this Cinco de Mayo, the fans are not satisfied. They still want Canelo to fight David Benavidez. This time too, just like all the other times, the fans reiterated their demand.

Fans unsatisfied with Canelo Alvarez’s Jaime Munguia fight

The fans have a bittersweet feeling about the upcoming fight. On one hand, they are happy that Canelo isn’t fighting Jermall Charlo or Edgar Berlanga. On the other hand, they are disappointed that his opponent isn’t Benavidez. This disappointment lingers because of longstanding speculation that Canelo has been avoiding the Mexican Monster, fueling the “ducking” narrative.

One of the fans stated that David Benavidez’s chants will be reiterated as soon as the Jaime Munguia fight ends so as to force Canelo to give Benavidez a shot at his titles. They wrote, “Benavidez chant after he beats Munguia ! No way we can let this slide mayweather effect is done and over with.

Another fan talked about how Canelo Alvarez will win easily against David Benavidez. They wrote, “You can beat Benavidez brother, I believe in you.

One fan reiterated the popular question that most have been asking for long. They wrote, “Why ducking Benavidez, champ?
