According to sources, the pair first met each other way before they decided to get married.

According to a report from St. Luis Business Journal, Evander and Shevon met decades ago in St. Louis. However, it wasn’t until years after his divorce from Candi Calvana Smith that a romantic relationship started developing between them. The pair even celebrated their first marriage anniversary in February this year. To celebrate the day, Holyfield shared a clip from their wedding on his Instagram account. The former heavyweight champion wrote, “Happy one-year anniversary to my life partner, with whom God has blessed me, my wife @shevonl.harris.” However, it begs the question – who is Shevon Harris Holyfield, and her background in law?

Besides rejoining the St. Louis-based law firm, she is the contract Guardian Ad Litem, advocating for abused and neglected children. From 2005, she served as the Special Representative for the office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel of the Supreme Court of Missouri. What’s more, Shevon also acted as the Missouri Supreme Court’s Municipal Monitor for the 21st Judicial Circuit.

Moreover, Shevon’s background in the legal system spans commercial litigation, estate planning, and probate. Lastly, Holyfield’s wife holds a J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from California State University Long Beach.
