In a recent conversation with Adam Carolla, Michael Jai White was asked about his favorite boxing fight. Speaking on the topic, White started off by saying that Floyd Mayweather is his favorite boxer, and how he believes he’s the best fighter to step into the squared circle in the history of the sport.
White also stated that he doesn’t mind the other styles of boxing, where both fighters are ready to “slug it out” against each other. But, White explained, “It’s those that, you see their strategy in the middle of the round that can change from one thing to the another. The reason Floyd, as clearly I’m a fan, but it’s just the mental aspect of it.” As Carolla saw White complimenting Mayweather so much, he made a light-hearted joke about White’s watch.
He asked him whether Mayweather bought it for him. White instantly replied, “No, no. I’m not the type of guy you could buy something for. I don’t take gifts from other guys like that.” So White genuinely feels Mayweather is ‘The Best Ever’ without any biasness. But, once, White also talked about the most “dangerous” fight of Floyd Mayweather’s career.

However, White believes that Alvarez was still quite big for Mayweather when they fought against each other. Not long ago, the P4P king broke his silence on Mayweather indulging in exhibition bouts.
White said, “He was really big for Mayweather. That was dangerous for Mayweather with a guy that powerful but I mean Mayweather is just- it was Checkers versus chess.” Mayweather won that fight comfortably, with many believing that Alvarez got schooled by ‘Money’ throughout the fight.
