Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury is one of the biggest rivalries in heavyweight boxing. The two heavyweight titans are among the elite-level boxers in the heavyweight division. Not to mention, one is a former champion and the other is the current champion. However, despite the allure of the bout, the two have never met each other in the squared circle.
Moreover, in a recent interview, Joshua slammed Fury by taking shots at his performance against Francis Ngannou and made some bold assertions. What is it that he had to say? Let’s wait no further and find that out.

Over a month ago, Ngannou made his boxing debut against Fury. Going into the fight, ‘The Gypsy King,’ was the betting favorite, and that too, by a country mile. However, ‘The Predator’ shook up the world by dropping Fury in the fight and taking him to the distance.
Joshua capitalized on Fury’s underwhelming performance to assert that he was not a formidable boxer and would end up defeating him in their potential clash. Reflecting along these lines, Joshua stated, “I’ve said I would beat Tyson Fury and that view has only been cemented by seeing his display vs Francis Ngannou. That was a gimmick fight and Fury nearly got totally caught out.”

Joshua is eager to get in the ring with Fury to prove that he will reign supreme in the battle of fists. However, Fury, on the other hand, does not have kind words for the former champion either.
Fury slams “Journeyman” Joshua
Back in August of this year, Fury revealed that AJ’s best days are behind him. He took a sly dig at his old rival and called him a ‘Journeyman.’ In an interview, he stated, “There is no Anthony Joshua to me at least. The man is a gym sweeper. Sweeps the gym floor and that by people. He’s like an old journeyman now.”
