After a long wait, it seems that the fans will be able to witness the highly anticipated bout between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney materialize. Even though Garcia had shifted his focus to Rolly Romero in the last second, the latter moved on from him to Isaac Cruz, thus leaving him without an opponent. So it can be said that Romero is to be credited for this fight. However, defeating Devin Haney, a tried-and-tested champion is not going to be an easy task even for Garcia.

It appears that Ryan Garcia is not planning to take any shortcuts when it comes to preparing for this fight. If he ends up winning this bout, he will be able to turn all the doubts surrounding his skills. However, the situation took a different turn when Garcia took to social media to share a clip of him skipping.

It was ESPN who had initially reported that the two had made the deal behind the scenes. Since then, both fighters have started preparing for the match-up. Just a couple of days ago, Garcia shared a clip of him skipping. He wrote, “I’m jumping into superbowl weekend like this!! Go chiefs! I feel bad for the 49ners fans. What a sad day coming for you guys. Anyways can yall comment who you think is going to win.”

However, contrary to his expectations, his method has received a different response from the fans. The video even surfaced on Twitter, where the fans shared their reaction to the post.

Garcia revolutionizes personal branding

The person who shared the clip on social media was left baffled by the video. He shared his confusion as he wrote, “What the hell is this?”

One fan pointed out the mistakes in Garcia’s nature. He claimed, “Ryan has the raw gifts to be explosive in the sport, even a potential great.” However, he also pointed out that “his focus, commitment to craft, and discipline are severely lacking. On the upside, he’s ushered in a new era of personal branding for athletes.”

Another fan compared Garcia with the greats of the past such as Roberto Duran and Roy Jones Jr. He stated, “Roberto Duran and Roy Jones couldn’t skip like this…up until they were 5. What in the fresh hell is that?”.

However, not all fans were taking the chance to fire shots at Garcia. One fan called him the “U.S face of boxing.” Furthermore, he pointed out, “He’s surpassed Tank w/ this Haney fight & will keep running away since there’s no other fighter that’ll pay Tank that kind of money ever again. Tank’s gonna go back to 1-5 mil per fight while Ryan will sell well against many other opponents.”

Someone else asked others to leave Ryan Garcia alone, stating, “It’s his life fe and he trains however he pleases. YOU ARE AN OLD HEAD HATER”.
