When is Jake Paul not ready for a fight? With just days left to count for his next big clash, ‘Problem Child’ has embarked upon a strenuous training process that has assured fans that his confrontation with Ryan Bourland would be nothing short of entertaining.
On the 2nd of March, the 27-year-old fighter will fight his currently inactive opponent, Bourland in a San Juan, Puerto Rico fight. As a co-headliner, his close pal, Amanda Serrano, will fight Nina Meinke. While Paul has positioned the event as an ode to Serrano’s Puerto Rican heritage, it is also his bid to inch closer to the title fights, the next main focus of his combat career. 17-2, Bourland becomes the third pro-opponent for Paul, joining the likes of Tommy Fury and Andre August. With stakes bigger than ever, Paul has remained relentless in his efforts to drop his opponent. Testament to this assertion? A new clip that was recently dropped.

On his X, formerly Twitter, the influencer-turned-boxer posted a video of his new-age workout technique. In it, Paul held a heavy workout equipment, and swung it sideways, as he took heavy breaths of recuperation. The fighter, bathed in sweat, wore a black, Enfants Riches Déprimes, sleeveless top, with his arms signaling his strength and his collection of tattoos. As he finished the set on a high note, he dropped the equipment, gasping for air, but signaling his clear preparedness for his next fight. He captioned the post, “24 days. Ready to eat.”
24 days indeed. This fight is seen by many as a strategic move by the fighter, who heralded the ‘influencer boxing’ era. He undertakes a fight against his North Dakota-based opponent, who has not fought since 2022. Critics argue that Paul is playing it safe by challenging easy opponents from the pro-boxing sect while also priming the stage for his title fight, whenever he gets it. Until then, he should maintain his 1 loss record to just that.
Based on this workout video, fans suggest he might be successful in doing that.
“Depressed Rich Kid”
One fan chimed in to explain the meaning of what was written on the fighter’s shirt. The brand, Paris and Los Angeles-based is groundbreaking and has struck a chord with its audience for being atypical.

Is it ambition or purely his diet, that keeps the Problem Child going? Or was the reaction a sarcastic take on the caption of the tweet? Guess we’ll never know.

A user had a request. More like a backhanded compliment.
Please don’t end the fight quickly

Then came a critic. They pondered if Paul was heavy enough to make it 180 pounds.
