Ryan Garcia will take on Devin Haney on April 20 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. However, as of right now, the Victorville native is on a mission to give back to his devoted fans. In a recent pinch, the 25-year-old boxer shared a video on social media where he bought shoes for everyone present in a store.

‘King Ry’ and ‘The Dream’ Haney are currently at each other’s throats, throwing verbal jabs at each other and the whole shebang in an effort to promote their upcoming fight. So, when the new clip dropped, many were left wondering if it was just another way Garcia was enticing his fans to buy the pay-per-view. However, Garcia claimed the opposite.

“I thought I [added] in the comments – I’m not looking for praise. I do this type of stuff often, and I never press record. The one time I decide to record, I’m reading so much hate. It saddens my heart. In what does it hurt to help anyone out? I pray for you guys. Don’t think me expressing myself is [a] weakness. I really will turn up,” wrote Garcia. While Garcia claims he wanted to do something special for his fans, Haney has accused Garcia of trying to weasel out of the fight.

Devin Haney on the venue of the fight

Following the announcement of the venue for the fight, Ryan Garcia claimed he wanted the fight to be in Las Vegas. Notably, the main reason why the fight isn’t happening in Las Vegas is because of Canelo Alvarez. His May 4 fight is close to the Garcia-Haney fight. So, PBC has blocked off any events drying up their profits before the fight, as revealed by Dan Rafael.
