It’s been some time since viewers saw ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson’. The youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history has been having an extremely busy schedule off late. His Tyson 2.0 business has been in expansion mode across the globe. Then, in boxing, fans saw him take on a new role as a trainer last year. Whether in large arenas or small ones, his presence is practically a requirement at every event. Hence, Mike Tyson probably found himself pulled in myriad directions, leaving little time for personal endeavors.
Nevertheless, DJ Whoo Kid joined him in welcoming reggaeton pioneer Nicky Jam in what could be the last episode of the Hotboxin’. Like all erstwhile editions of the show, this one too witnessed quirky incidents amidst discussions about the guest’s life journey. Though completely in jest, the first, in fact, occurred a few minutes after the program started.

Some two minutes after they began chatting, DJ Whoo Kid mentioned how Nicky Jam had drastically pulled down in terms of weight. When the singer-songwriter started explaining how his weight changed over the years, DJ Whoo Kid interjected, “Before we start this interview, man, what is a La Combi Completa?” Perhaps his statement took Mike Tyson by surprise. How shot back, “What the f*ck do you mean interview? We already started the interview.”
Whoo Kid was probably taken aback momentarily. Then, smiling, he explained how he felt that they were just having an informal chit-chat. Nicky Jam, whose chuckle could be heard in the background, added, “This is our type of interview.” Tyson mocked, “C’mon, stop, stop, stop…stop the bullsh*t. C’mon man!” By that time, even DJ Whoo Kid couldn’t control himself, and he burst into hearty laughter.
Over the discussion, the singer, whose recorded name is Nick Rivera Caminero, took them through the gastric surgery and the diet restrictions he had to follow. He updated that he lost close to 60 pounds in the process. Later, Jam revealed how his post-surgery liquor intake often resulted in him getting inebriated quickly.
Early today, Mike Tyson reached out to millions of fans. On a thoughtful note, he shared that the journey of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson has reached its conclusion.
The Last Round of the Champion
In a recorded message that he shared over an Instagram post, Tyson said, ““Ladies and gentlemen, these are my final recordings of Hotboxin’. I really enjoyed being a part of this journey and all the people that I met—the remarkable people that I met in interviews. And by now, for me, this is my next chapter in life. Please enjoy the following socials at Mike Tyson and MikeTyson.com for my next venture, please. I love you all.”
