After months of shooting insults at each other, when KSI and Tommy Fury finally stepped into the ring, fans had expected much more than what actually went down. Neither the YouTuber nor the ‘Love Island’ star were commended when the fight ended. The decision also has created a split. There are those who find it fair while the rest have their own doubts. A former champion and boxing analyst, Carl Froch did not hesitate to express just how disappointed he was.
The 6-round fight ended with Fury getting a unanimous decision win after the revised scorecards came out. A bitter KSI expressed his dissatisfaction after the fight, labeling the decision a “robbery”. What new low did the fight touch in the eyes of Froch?

Froch did not care to be gentle with his analysis when he broke down the fight for his viewers. Starting with how KSI pulling up in a green Lamborghini did not impress anyone, he went on to say this about the fight, “The fight itself was absolutely fu*king diabolical. It was so bad it was cr*p. It was probably the worst fight I have ever seen.”
He mocked KSI’s boxing, which looked like he was doing “star jumps” on the canvas, according to Froch. Coming to Fury, the former champion found no skillful footwork or head movement. “It wasn’t competitive neither of them really wanted to throw a punch for the fear of getting hit back. I suppose KSI tried a little bit. He was kinda bouncing on the floor like he was doing star jumps in the middle of the ring in front of Tommy Fury.” This was not all. He called the two out for having only 6 rounds of boxing whereas he expected to be around eight or ten.

A change in scores after the results, who benefits?
Due to a scoring error by judge Rafael James, the initial decision of a majority draw in the fight has been corrected. James mistakenly tallied his score as 57-57, despite actually scoring it 56-57 in Fury’s favor. This error led to the announcement of the wrong result. The corrected verdict now shows Fury’s victory via unanimous decision, not majority decision. James had awarded four rounds to Fury and two to KSI, but his miscalculation caused confusion. It’s worth noting that Fury had a point deducted in the second round for hitting KSI in the back of the head. Despite the correction, some fans are still debating whether Fury did enough to win the majority of the rounds.

The corrected verdict must have infuriated KSI fans even more. A considerable section of boxing fans find the judges’ verdict fishy. Meanwhile, Froch, as we can see, has given his verdict. Do you think he will come forward to comment on this sudden change of scores? What are your views about the event?
