Tyson Fury is back on track and firing on all cylinders, according to the heavyweight champ himself. A sparring injury forced a postponement of his highly anticipated clash with Oleksandr Usyk in February, leaving boxing fans frustrated. But Fury assures everyone he’s “very fit” and ready to rumble this coming May.
The rescheduled fight on May 18, to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, holds immense historical weight. The winner will be crowned the undisputed heavyweight champion–the first since Lennox Lewis in 1999. However, Tyson Fury recently had an indirect message ready for his opponent Oleksandr Usyk, and talked about how well he’s been training.

Tyson Fury recently made a video on his social media where he recorded his trainer Kristian Backlock, asking him about his progress. For a good past month, Fury had taken a break from social media, ever since he had an injury near his eye. However, now he’s started to post again, and this time he uploaded the video on his Instagram.
Fury asked his trainer about how it feels to be a bald man. Backlock replied jokingly that Fury must be knowing that very well himself. Then Fury asked about his progress during the training, and Backlock answered, “Absolutely to plan. You’re on point.” Then one of his team members interrupted and mentioned that they needed to leak some videos and let the fans know as well.

At that time, Fury agreed and said, “The more the merrier! Three baldies together, what a camp this is.” So, he’s quite satisfied with his camp, however, his opponent Oleksandr Usyk had a cunning reply to his training update.

Usyk mentioned he never stopped training for the fight
The heat is rising in the heavyweight division as Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk gear up for their undisputed title fight in May. Both champions took to social media to showcase their training, but it’s their captions that truly pack a punch. Fury’s camp uploaded a video with a booming voice declaring it the “first day of proper camp” and a “warm up,” complete with a 300kg deadlift.
This show of brute strength is a clear message: ‘The Gypsy King’ is ready to rumble. Not to be outdone, Usyk responded with his training video just eight hours later. His caption? A single, icy sentence: “Your camp just started, mine never finished.” So, the heat is already quite high between the two boxers and hopefully, it’ll show inside the ring as well.
