3 Years After Josie Harris’ Death, Floyd Mayweather’s Daughter Keeps Late Mother’s Legacy Alive by Sharing Heart-Warming Photos of Her Parents

Floyd Mayweather is a force of nature in the boxing ring who has on multiple occasions kept his fans spellbound and wanting more. As he rose to fame with his splendid boxing prowess, he also led a personal life that was tumultuous, to say the least. The 50-o boxer has been romantically associated with multiple women in the past, and some of them became baby mommas. But the one that is still widely spoken of today is his relationship with Josie Harris.

‘Money’ Mayweather deeply cherished the relationship he had with Harris. They became parents to two boys, Koraun and Zion Shamaree, and a girl Jirah. The fighter’s relationship with his daughter Jirah is one that has been heavily publicized by the former. However, after the death of her mother, Jirah reminisced about the good old days of the former couple.

When the two were courting each other, they were probably the most endearing couple in the public eye. But when things went south, the scrutiny on them equally persisted. But even after so many years, there seems to be a note of admiration that exists for their love story.

Their daughter stands to say that story. Taking to her social media, Jirah reposted an adorable video of the former couple that included a montage of images taken during the time they were together.

Reportedly, Mayweather and Josie Harris began seeing each other in the early 90s. At the pinnacle of possible success, the fighter pursued his relationship with her almost to the first five years of the 21st century. Over these years, the couple became parents to three children who would go on to become valid testimonies of this tumultuous narrative.

Come 2005, the couple would enter into a dark abyss that finally saw it hitting rock bottom. Josie filed a battery complaint against ‘Pretty Boy’ only to later withdraw it. But the case would see its chapter progress in 2010. The cops arrested the fighter based on the complaint filed by his ex-partner. On charges of domestic violence, the court sentenced Mayweather to 3 months of incarceration in 2011.

However, the fighter only spent two months in prison from June 1st to August 3rd, 2012. The two then drifted apart for good until the 10th of March in 2020 when news of his ex-partner’s passing reached Mayweather. Josie Harris had died of a supposed drug overdose accident.

Everything seems to have been forgiven. The fighter then took on his role as a father too closely in the absence of the kids’ mother. The family still remembers Haris for the memories they shared and the moments they created.
