An existential lecture by Muhammad Ali

When the going gets tough, we are all prone to doubts about what our role is on the grand stage that life is. This question hits us regardless of who we are or where we come from. Black Belt Champion Nicholas Meregali also had to answer this question. The Brazilian athlete recently took to his Instagram stories to share a clip in which Ali can be seen imparting some wisdom.

Titled ‘The Purpose of Life’, the former heavyweight champion broke down the basics of life. He vividly described the purpose of one’s life and the reason one is born the way they are. A true philosopher, Ali outlined that every organism that takes birth in this world comes with a purpose. And the journey they take in life is in line with that purpose.

Ali said he was content with his life because he felt he was fulfilling his purpose. The fighter elaborated, “I’m happy because I’m fulfilling my purpose in life. See, everything was created for a purpose. Trees have a purpose, the moon has a purpose.”

Speaking further on how everything God created comes with a purpose, the boxer further delineated, “Everything god created have a purpose. That’s another one of my lectures, entitled “the purpose of life.”

However, he did not stop there. To further strengthen his argument, Muhammad Ali spoke about how a small cohort of people who know their purpose will outweigh thousands who do not. He said, “And the wise man is he who knows his life purpose, see 10 men with the knowledge of their purpose are more powerful than 1000 men working from morning until evening without knowing their purpose.”
