Melvin Townsend, the individual who was on the receiving end of repeated punches from former boxer Mike Tyson on an airplane in 2022, is reportedly seeking a $450,000 “pre-litigation settlement demand” for the “injuries and damages” he allegedly suffered during the incident. Townsend’s attorney, Jake Jondle sent this demand to Tyson’s attorney.

Jondle emphasized that immediately after the altercation, Townsend experienced a severe headache and neck pain, and continues to grapple with the effects of the assault. He has filed the charges and he wants to be compensated for his damages. However, the fans came in support of the legendary boxer Mike Tyson.

The TMZ made an Instagram Post, informing the fans about the lawsuit against Tyson. Well, the fans did not mind the charges much, in fact, they prayed that Tyson wouldn’t have to pay a single penny to the victim.

One of the fans tried to justify the actions of Mike Tyson. They wrote, “That guy was asking for it. I hope Mike doesn’t have to pay a dime.

Another fan stated that the aggrieved individual deserved another punch. They wrote, “He can get another knuckle sandwich.

One fan suggested that the victim may have been drunk and even harassed an old man like Tyson, and is now crying after facing the consequences. They wrote, “Drunk dude harasses elderly man, gets smacked back and crying now.

A fan explained how this was all pre-planned by the victim. They wrote, “This was the setup the whole time taunt Mike knowing good and well he’s going to jack u up and then you the aggressor sue him! I pray he doesn’t get a dime.

An Instagram user remarked that the victim is lucky ‘Iron’ Mike did not completely demolish him. They wrote, “He should he lucky Tyson went easy on him.

The fans showed their solidarity with Tyson’s actions and didn’t see anything wrong with his behavior. However, Tyson himself regretted his actions later on a Late Night Show.

Tyson regrets lashing out on the plane victim

Former boxer Mike Tyson, aged 55, found himself in a public altercation when a fellow passenger was constantly pestering him despite Tyson’s request to be left alone. A witness recounted to TMZ that Tyson began swinging at the man after he refused to back off, resulting in Tyson reaching over his seat to deliver the punches.

The incident left the individual with visible marks on his face, prompting him to initially involve lawyers, although no charges till then were pressed against Tyson. Addressing the incident on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Tyson openly admitted it was an action he shouldn’t have committed.

He said, “I’m usually good at these things. I guess it was his number. I was wrong. That should’ve never happened. That’s me back in my primitive childhood stages. I shouldn’t have done it.
