Even though the KSI vs. Tommy Fury fight has everyone buzzing, a handful of experts are giving the whole crossover influencer boxing event the stink eye. They feel these fights are more geared towards making money rather than focusing on the sport of boxing itself. In a similar situation, a former world champion has come forward with his opinion on the KSI vs. Tommy Fury fight.

KSI will face Tommy ‘TNT’ Fury on 14 October in AO Arena, Manchester. Fury, a professional boxer with a perfect record of 9-0, is the crowd favorite in the leadup to the mega event. Meanwhile, KSI will face the strongest contender of his career yet. The fight is expected to gather massive numbers, generating millions for both fighters. However, not everyone seems excited about the upcoming battle. Carl Froch, the former super middleweight champion, did not hold back while speaking about the reality of the upcoming matchup.

Carl Froch asserts KSI is not a pro-fighter

According to a tweet from Michael Benson, Carl Froch is not waiting around to watch the fight. The former world champion asserted KSI is not a professional boxer, so the fight should not called a pro boxing event. “KSI isn’t a pro fighter, and this should be called a night of play fighting, not pro boxing,” said Froch.

When speaking about Tommy Fury, Froch congratulated the undefeated boxer for making tons of money. “Tommy’s making a fortune. F**ing well done.” However, he expressed his disdain for the crossover event between Tommy and KSI by claiming he won’t watch the fight. “I won’t be watching it. I ain’t staying up and watching that dog s**. No chance.”

KSI thinks Tommy Fury is not taking him seriously

While their X (Twitter) interactions have not been as spicy as their Prime Card partners, Logan Paul and Dillon Danis, they have thrown occasional verbal jabs at each other. With four days left in their inevitable clash, KSI has claimed Tommy Fury is not taking the fight seriously. Why does he think that? Hint – Because of Tommy’s training partner.

In a recent tweet, KSI shared info about Tommy Fury’s training partner, Owen Kirk. Alongside that, KSI wrote in the caption, “Tommy Fury’s final spar…Tommy ain’t taking me seriously.” KSI suggested Kirk’s skills aren’t up to the mark to prepare for the upcoming fight. It’s worth mentioning that Tommy has not responded to the criticism. However, Kirk challenged KSI or any of his fighters in the 160lbs to 180lbs weight division.
