Later, in an interview, Tyson even declared that when it flared up, he would have difficulties speaking. In the wake of Tyson’s struggle with sciatica, ‘KidDynamite’ often spoke about death and the afterlife with his guests on Hotboxin’.

In the latest episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, guest Nick Cannon spoke about spirituality. Accompanied by Mike Tyson, the comedian and television host explored Socratic views on death. Astonishingly enough, Tyson discovered that Cannon’s beliefs were in total agreement with those of his beloved wife, Kiki.

In the Last Days of Socrates, before consuming Hemlock and embracing death, the philosopher lectured his companions on death and the afterlife. In his opinion, the soul and the body were different entities. While the body dies, the soul is immortal. According to Socrates, anyone who has practiced philosophy in the right manner looks forward to death, as death offers an opportunity to know the real world. In keeping with the mentioned Socratic views on the soul, Cannon declared, “Energy never dies. This is just a human shell. There’s no way you could tell me that once this flesh, this dirt, goes back to dirt, this spirit that has been in me isn’t going to live on forever.

Hearing Nick Cannon, an impressed Tyson said, “This is my wife talking.” Soon, Tyson wondered about the purpose of his life. He simultaneously tried to understand the existence of the universe. Finally, he concluded with a rhetorical question: “Who are we to think we are somebody, and then again, who are we to think we are nobody?” Following the end of the discussion on death, the duo moved on to talk about careers and Hollywood.
