Both Broner and Rau’Shee situate their formative days in the bustling streets of Cincinnati. A town that was put on the map of boxing with each victory they registered. So, of course, when their association is discussed, it is necessary to outline the contributions they have made in bringing the town to notoriety. Davis, on the other hand, spent his training days and continues to do so under the guidance of Calvin Ford in Baltimore.
However, the picture sparked a keen interest among fans who dug deeper into the history between the fighters.
‘Cincy up next…” Voices Echo the Nostalgia
While sharing the picture, the boxing promoter discussed how the three fighters ushered a culture in the boxing realm that echoes even today. While Broner and Davis both have severely come under the scanner lately for their controversial jail time, the promoter nuanced how everyone expects them to do things a certain way. But then no one really understands the gravitas of their situations.
Furthering the appreciation of the fighters, a fan outlined how they’ve been following Broner and Rau’Shee since their days in Cincinnati to the big rings now. They wrote, “Grew up watching y’all come from nun!!! From CINCINNATI RIOT to The BIG LIGHTS CINCY UP NEXT.”
Another fan called the trio “legendary.” They commented, “This Gym Legendary.”
A fan recalled how the fighters put their small towns on the big map, and now remain the most feared fighters in their respective weight classes. They outlined, “that shit!!! Put cincinnati back on the map in boxing!!! All feared in their weight classes!!! The fourth person in the picture also the goat!!!”
Another user wanted to frame the snap. They said, “This tough fr. Might have to get that framed.”
Finally, a fan resounded what most fans prayed for. They wrote, “Keep pushing.”
