When Manny Pacquiao squared off against Floyd Mayweather in 2015, in simple words, boxing fans around the world witnessed excellence for 12 rounds. From a technical standpoint, what the duo delivered that night, is still a dream and lesson for many. While quick and explosive Pacquiao pushed Mayweather with fire for hands, the bigger ‘TBE’ answered ‘Pac Man’ with equally fast counterpunches throughout the fight. As per the stats, Mayweather however outperformed Manny by landing 34% of his punches. Likewise, the decision went to Floyd’s corner.
However, during the post-fight interview with Max Kellerman, a disappointed Pacquiao expressed he thought he was robbed against ‘TBE’. In this context, during a recent interaction with the press, Pacquiao announced he planned to rematch Mayweather soon.

After Floyd Mayweather defeated Pacquiao in their $300 Million fight, the latter complained of ‘TBE’ running. In his opinion, since Mayweather moved around a lot, ‘TBE’ did not deserve to win. In addition, stating he caught Mayweather “many times” with his punches, Manny declared, “I thought I won the fight.”
Despite Pacquiao’s disappointment, the duo moved on and eventually retired from pro boxing. However, in a recent interview, ‘Pac Man’ assured the fans that he looked forward to avenging his loss to ‘Money’ this year.
On being asked if he would ever consider rematching ‘Money’ in an exhibition, the former welterweight champion answered in the affirmative. “We’re working on it. Actually, supposedly, this coming December,” declared Pacquiao. “We’re still working on it. Hoping for that exhibition match,” he added.
As Manny Pacquiao confirmed the prospect of a rematch with ‘Money,’ it is worth revisiting what Mayweather earlier said regarding a potential exhibition with Manny.

Although he wished Pacquiao the best in life, ‘TBE’ clarified that he moved on. “We had a chance to do it and you know what the result was,” said ‘Money’. “I’ll tell Manny Pacquiao to be the best you can be at whatever you’re doing,” he added.
However, following Pacquiao’s latest statements, hopefully, Floyd Mayweather will soon confirm again whether or not he is facing Manny in a rematch.
