Misfits Boxing has changed the game for Influencer boxers in the last few years! Now it’s PBA’s turn to change them, but co-president Mams Taylor isn’t worried. The boxing promotion founded by KSI, Mams Taylor, Kalle & Nisse Sauerland broke into the scene in August 2022 and has been the go-to for aspiring influencer boxers. However, all that is in jeopardy after the new ruling from PBA!

In a recent development, the Professional Boxing Association (PBA) suspended Misfits Boxing’s promoter license for violating several rules. Reacting to the same, Taylor issued a statement to Happy Punch today about its future, something they quickly shared on X.

With the crackdown on the promotion, Taylor announced that they are partnering with a new governing body going forward. “Misfits Boxing [is] excited to partner with a new governing body, things are going to be great,” Taylor said as per Happy Punch. It’s worth mentioning that the last few fights in Misfits Boxing saw a lot of controversies. 

For instance, the KSI vs. Tommy Fury fight – saw a controversial result due to scoring mistakes. Not to mention – the Dillon Danis and Logan Paul saga. Also, who can forget Daniella Hemsley, who flashed her breasts after winning the fight against Ms. Danielka via unanimous decision on July 16? So, Taylor’s statement went on to emphasize fairness, transparency, and testing in their future efforts. “Fairness, transparency, and testing are to be a big part of this going forward. [A] new judging system will be in place starting Misfits 13/14,” said Taylor. With Taylor’s comments out of the way, here’s what PBA said about Misfits Boxing.

PBA highlights violation after violation

In a tweet from January 12, the governing body for boxing took to X, announcing the news to the public. They highlighted consecutive rule violations, tarnishing the sport’s reputation and the overall safety of the boxers. The tweet went on to suggest that disciplinary hearings for the same will start soon for all such license holders.

“Misfits Boxing: Due to the clear violations of the PBA’s rules and regulations, bringing boxing into disrepute and in the interest of boxer safety, Misfits Boxing Promoters’ licenses have been suspended, and disciplinary hearings will follow for such license holders,” PBA wrote in the tweet. Misfits were supposed to host an event in Leeds on 20 January with TikTok star Ed Matthews, but with the new ruling, the future of the event remains uncertain.
