Kingpyn Boxing rose to fame when it established itself to cater to the growing demand for a boxing platform to serve all aspiring influencers. While Jake Paul and KSI among other influencers had made it to the ring, the need for such a platform was heavily felt. Kalle Sauerland’s promotion company emerged to compete with Misfits Boxing and DAZN. The company put out a tournament earlier this year to see which creator would rise to the top. The quarter-final took place on April 22 at the OVO Arena in London. Further, the semi-final was on July 1 in Dublin. However, now the tournament stands mostly canceled as Kingpyn has filed for bankruptcy.
The company had scheduled a semi-final between AnEsonGib and Jarvis, on July 15, 2023, at the 3Arena. That too seemingly stands cancelled. On the other hand, KSI’s Misfits has secured a five-year deal with DAZN. Amidst this chaotic development, fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment at the fall of Kingpyn. Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor has also spoken up about the reported bankruptcy.
The reason why @kingpynboxing went bankrupt was because they overpaid TRASH ASS fighters who can’t promote or sell fights.

The Internet has exploded into various sets of feelings around Kingpyn filing for bankruptcy. The multiple reactions range from feelings over the line-up of the scheduled tournament to questions about what this does to aspirators who wish to enter the ring. No one’s happy. Wanted to see the fights. But kingpyn clearly weren’t fit to stay in this business long. Better for this to happen sooner rather than later like with the socialgloves event where only 2 fighters got paid.

Misfits don't lose this chance. Make those same fights on Misfits. Fans will be so happy. Gib vs jarvis kenny vs nunes. We want to see it. Whoever brings the most value can be talked about to fight with the nightmare KSI Lol

Meanwhile, there are folks who expected this. Like Sam Picken.
Like we all didn’t see it coming. No way a mystery billionaire comes out of nowhere, gives a whole group of influencers massive contracts and can afford to take a loss on 3 events

Talking about the good lineup Kingpyn had,
Vivek saysAll the Misfits fans can laugh all they want and Kingpyn did probably get what was coming to them, but we gotta admit they deffo had some good fights lined up and hopefully we can still see some of them happen on Misifts..

While fans grapple with the news of the bankruptcy, it is crucial to see who will in fact pick up the matches that are left at the tournament. Will KSI’s Misfits rise to the occasion or will it be Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP)? It is going to be an interesting week to watch as more personalities from the boxing world chime in while the internet discusses the collapse of Kingpyn. The future of the company remains highly uncertain.
