Stevenson had earlier declined a fight against Haney due to a low 25% purse offer. Following this, they both had a verbal feud on social media till the two-division world champion decided he wanted to take on Davis instead. According to Stevenson, a match between him and Davis would be the most significant boxing event when it occurs. The Mayweather next gen has voiced out his opinions on this.
In an interview with Akhi TV, the new entrant spoke about his take on the whole situation. Though all three fighters are top-tier, there are two he can see climbing further. “It’s hard to say, all of them guys are really skilled. The best out of them 3 is between Tank and Shakur. They going to run through everybody else and it’s going to be them 2 in the end.” For Moton, Haney falls short in front of Davis and Stevenson.

Despite this, the undefeated Stevenson remains certain about facing the secondary WBA lightweight champion, ‘Tank’ Davis. He’s willing to stay in the 135-lb division, patiently anticipating the fight.
