David Benavidez vs. Super Middleweight division

‘The Mexican monster,’ wants to be world champion one day. In a recent interview with Stephen A. Smith, the undefeated boxer revealed that he is dedicated to his craft and would not be vulnerable in his upcoming fight or in the future. Alongside this bold claim, he sent a stern warning to the entire super-middleweight division.

Reflecting on the same, he stated, “Never and you will never see me hurt either. That’s why I work extremely hard. I got 3 months in this training camp. I worked extremely hard in this training camp. I have not left any stone unturned. I’m coming to this fight berry prepared and the whole super middleweight division should be scared. I’ll not take no for an answer and clear this division out.”

It is safe to say that Benavidez has big ambitions and is working hard for it. However, despite all this confidence and pompous claims, Andrade remains unfazed. Find out what he makes of Benavidez and his recent performance.

Andrade on Benavidez’s last fight against Caleb Plant

In his last fight, ‘The Mexican Monster,’ faced former champion, Caleb Plant. Despite Benavidez securing a unanimous victory, Andrade was far from intimidated by him. While acknowledging the fact that the fight was an entertaining watch, he did not find anything extraordinary in Benavidez as Plant did not make the required adjustments. In an interview, he stated, “It was a good fight that they did. He had to do it….he rallied towards the end of the fight. I’m not too sure if he made adjustments, but it seemed like Plant just wasn’t able to sustain his, you know, output and conditioning, you know, keep him off, so I mean, that’s just what I see.”
