In the aftermath of Devin Haney‘s commanding victory over Regis Prograis to claim the WBC junior welterweight title, a social media exchange unfolded between Haney and Gervonta Davis. The exchange was not of a pleasant nature. Devin Haney’s father Bill Haney called out Tank for ducking a fight with his son, while Davis, in his usual brash manner, hit out multiple times with cryptic posts. Even now, the feud shows no signs of slowing.
Gervonta Davis is known for his knockout power, while Haney is more of a distance fighter and isn’t known to knock out his opponents. So, Davis’s coach Kenny Ellis jumped on the Gervonta Davis bandwagon while predicting the outcome of the fight with Haney. Not only that, he even wagered his entire boxing career on it.

A while ago, Coach Kenny Ellis addressed Devin Haney’s claim that Team Davis was not interested in a fight dismissing it as “all cap.” Ellis’s assertion, delivered in an interview, contradicts Haney’s statement. In a more recent conversation, Kenny Ellis again made comments about the potential matchup.
Coach Kenny Ellis: “If Tank doesn’t get him(Devin Haney) out of there before the 12th round, I’m done with boxing…THAT’S HOW WE COMING, CASE CLOSED.”#Boxing

While making a wager on his career, Kenny Ellis predicted, “You see, if he make to the 12th round, I’m done with boxing. If Tank don’t get him out of there, I’m done with boxing.” He then continued and even reiterated, “If Tank don’t get him(Devin Haney) out of there before the 12th round, I’m done with boxing. That’s how we coming, case closed.”
Davis’ coach is sure of Tank’s victory against Haney. However, so is Bill Haney so much so that he is on a war path with Tank and even recently sent a message to him through social media.

Davis threatens Devin Haney
Despite being one of the most sought-after boxers globally, Gervonta Davis maintains a relatively low profile outside the ring. However, Bill Haney, the father of two-division champion Devin Haney, has found a way to elicit responses from Davis. He employed tactics that ranged from mocking his weight to labeling him a paper champion. Bill’s verbal jabs seemed to have struck a nerve, prompting an official warning from Davis to The Dream. He wrote, “I promise you. Your father gonna cry for what I’m a do to you.”
