It’s been over a quarter-century since the infamous “Bite Fight” occurred on June 28, 1997, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Little did anyone anticipate that this match would become a historical event. In a shocking turn of events during the third round, Mike Tyson bit off a piece of Evander Holyfield’s ear. Starting the conversation, a fan commented, “You almost kill each other on fist fight……. That was one of the best fights.”

However, this comment caught the attention of Holyfield. He replied by saying, “Majika Maluleke  [the fan’s name] Thank you, for your kind words of you saying the best fight, but I never and don’t box looking to kill anyone, only thing is to win and to live to talk about it.”

Then, another follower had a quite peculiar viewpoint. The follower opined, “This is one of the reasons why I wanted to ban clinching in bare knuckle fighting it is a cheat code to stop someone from hitting you.”
