Floyd Mayweather Jr. has inspired millions throughout his mesmerizing boxing career. He holds a splendid undefeated boxing record of 50-0. Other undefeated legends like Rocky Marciano and Joe Calzaghe left a mark in the history of boxing. However, Mayweather Jr.’s zero-loss stats are an accomplishment that has inspired a lot of other boxers of the modern era. But many fans believe that numbers are not the only way to judge the grit of a fighter. For that reason, quite a few slammed ‘TBE’ for something he said in the past.

Mayweather Jr. said, “Women lie, men lie, numbers don’t lie.” But the undisputed Lightweight champion, Devin Haney, believes that Mayweather’s retirement at no loss has changed the definition of maintaining a legacy in the sport. As winning is not everything, sometimes you lose with dignity, and it leaves a better impact than winning.

Mayweather Jr. once said, “My whole outlook on life is never [to] judge a book by its cover.” It was made into a Facebook post, uploaded by Floyd’ Money’ Mayweather Fanboys. The fans filled the comments section with their opinions about the former 5-division World Champion.

One of the fans, Tony Trainee, stated that nobody believes Mayweather Jr. is “The Best Ever.” They wrote, “That’s why we never believe that u r the best ever because that’s your cover.” Another fan, Panes Ralph, perhaps without sounding judgmental, advised Mayweather Jr. not to bribe judges, referees, and venues ahead of his fight. Bebiano Jongo called the undefeated former champion a defensive boxer and said he was an uninspiring fighter. They wrote, “Best defensive boxer, not best boxer, boring boxer.” Similarly, Jozer Jay Montejo Yabo named Mayweather Jr. “GROAT.” They wrote, “Respect to [the] Greatest Runner of All Time (GROAT).”

While Arnold Valderrama mentioned that in his younger days, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was an attacking boxer, however, a more defensive approach settled in over the years and with age. The user said, “When Floyd was young, he was more of an offensive fighter than defensive, but because he was old, he became [defensive] so that he could protect his life and wealth as well as his record. And because of that, he also became a boring fighter.
