Francis Ngannou is set to make his boxing debut in Saudi Arabia next month. He will face the WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. The undefeated boxing heavyweight, Fury, had expressed his desire to face Ngannou ever since defeating Derek Chisora a third time in 2022. The match is now scheduled for October 28 in Riyadh. Adding to the stakes of the fight, Mike Tyson is training Ngannou at his PFL heavyweight camp for this debut.

‘Iron Mike’ has made many claims about Ngannou’s punching power. In his regard, ‘The Predator’ hits harder than anybody he knows. A seasoned promoter recently turned heads when he echoed the same remarks made by Mike. Top Rank CEO Bob Arum made a stunning statement about former UFC heavyweight Francis Ngannou. He hinted at a knockout of ‘The Gypsy King’ if he wasn’t cautious about Ngannou’s power.

Bob Arum is Tyson Fury’s promoter, therefore his statement does hold water when he is seen asking his own fighter to be careful. Arum revealed that Ngannou punches harder than Fury’s past rivals, Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora. Furthermore, he even asserted that Ngannou is the UFC’s best-ever puncher. This isn’t mere talk; it could change how we see Ngannou’s move from UFC to boxing. Moreover, his perspective could bring a paradigm shift in the one-sided victory narrative of the bout.

As Arum told Pro Boxing Fans, “Absolutely this is a more dangerous fight…Ngannou hits harder than either Chisora or Dillian Whyte, and when you’re in with a puncher like that, and you’re not in perfect shape, that’s when you can get knocked out…Ngannou is a tremendous puncher, probably the best puncher in the history of the UFC. This is going to be a really interesting fight. It’s going to be very fun to watch.”

Additionally, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ thinks that ‘The Gypsy King’ can be defeated by Ngannou.

‘Iron Mike’ thinks Ngannou’s victory could outshine his “biggest upset” fight

Mike Tyson thinks Francis Ngannou could beat Tyson Fury. Furthermore, Tyson sees excellent potential in Ngannou’s punches. Contrarily, one can’t forget the fact that Fury once fought Deontay Wilder, famous for his knockout power. Yet, Tyson finds Ngannou more threatening. As ‘Kid Dynamite’ said on The Jim Rowe Show, “Tyson’s never been in the ring with a guy that can punch this hard…I think this guy punches harder than anybody he’s ever fought.”

He also noted Ngannou’s patriotic drive to win. Tyson believes a Ngannou victory would outshine his own upset loss to Buster Douglas in 1990. Additionally, this assertion intensifies the anticipation, laying the groundwork for a bout that is expected to be incredibly dynamic. On his podcast, Iron Mike praised his own skill, stating that everyone he has faced in the ring remains defeated. This recognition from the iconic boxer certainly deserves our attention.
