Spears appeared on Vlad TV on YouTube to talk about multiple subjects. The comedian playfully compared acting icons Denzel Washington and Samuel L. Jackson before delving into the ongoing writers’ strike. As the conversation flowed, Spears shared his reactions to various sports topics. One of which included a discussion about Floyd Mayweather. As the two went back to Lewis to discuss if his fights were interesting, the host could not help but mention Tyson.
For Spears, interesting is an understatement for Tyson. He said “Yeah, that’s cocaine with boxing gloves on” with a small laugh. This was also a subtle reference to Tyson’s history with drugs and addiction. Clearly, like most fans, Spears also sees him as a source of endless fascination and admiration.
How ‘Iron’ Mike overcame his addiction
For most parts of his life, Tyson struggled primarily with hard drugs such as cocaine and alcohol. Openly acknowledging his addiction issues which led to a yearlong rehab stint, he revealed that he had been under the influence of cocaine in a few of his bouts as well.
