Manny Pacquiao is regarded as one of the greatest professional boxers to ever grace the squared circle. And his impeccable boxing resume with world championships across eight divisions only adds to his grandeur as a retired professional boxer. Moreover, the Philippino boxer was famous for his boxing style and his ability to change his style per the requirements of his opponent and the fight. But it seems like not everyone agrees with that. Reigning WBA super-lightweight champion, Rolando Romero made some remarks about Pacquiao’s style, calling it the “ugliest.” A clip of that old interview has resurfaced on the internet and the fans are not pleased.
In the clip, Romero tries to make a point about styles in boxing and how people perceive them. And he tried to explain better by giving an example of ‘PacMan.’ But, the emotion was not reciprocated by the fans, who did not hesitate to give a reality check to Romero for making his remarks.

“One of the most delusional boxers ever”: Rolly Romero faces backlash
In the Clip, Rolando says, “Pacquiao has the fu****g ugliest style of boxing. And, look at what the f**k he’s accomplished.” Further talking about his boxing style, Romero added, “Just because I fight differently, it means I have no fu****g skills. I got my own fu****g skills.” Romero also opened up about a lesson he learned from Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Romero reeled in another boxing legend, Prince Naseem Hamed, to make his point. Romero claimed that how having a different fighting style than the others can make the fans think that the boxer has no skills. And he used Hamed’s example to explain that. He added, “In this fu****g generation if you don’t try to box like Floyd, a typical Mexican, and a Russian like Lomachenko, you’re trashing this sport.”
Romero wanted to paint a picture for the fans about how looking glamorous while boxing doesn’t necessarily mean that the boxer is skillful or vice-versa. But the fans were not pleased by Romero’s examples and called him out for his remarks. One user claimed that Rolly’s knockout loss to Gervonta Davis ‘reset his brain’. He wrote, “Tank really did reset this boy’s brain.”

Another user branded Romero as one of the “most delusional boxers” he has ever come across. “Rolly Romero is one of the most delusional Boxers ever,” they commented.
One user jokingly commented, “Rolly got the heart of a fighter but not the brain.” Another user simply wrote, “I thought Broner was delusional, but this kid has taken it to another level.” Meanwhile, one fan commented, “It’s not about style, it’s how you win the fight..and accomplishment.”
