Mike Tyson has seen the pinnacle of success, but it didn’t come to him without a cost. Tyson had a rough time growing up, and he had to fight through a tough childhood to become ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ later in his life. Before even hitting the age of 12, he was arrested multiple times, and he was regularly thrashed by his own mother. It’s also may come as a surprise that Tyson was bullied as a child because he spoke with a lisp.

He was called a ‘little fairy boy’ by the other children. However, everything changed when he met his trainer and father-figure Cus D’Amato who showed Tyson the path to perfecting the sweet science. But his struggles taught him a hard-earned lesson, and he handed some of it to his recent podcast guest, Grant Cardone, consoling him as he mourned his late father.

Mike Tyson gives crucial advice to Grant Cardone

In the recent episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Grant Cardone introduced himself at the beginning of the podcast. Then Cardone talked about how he was raised by a single mother and has a twin brother. He also shared a story of his older brother dying at the age of 25. Also, he lost his father when he was only 10 years old. So he had seen a lot of losses at a very young age.

Tyson pitched in and told him, “Makes you strong though, makes you strong those losses.” Cardone agreed with him, but stated that he wouldn’t wish such kind of a thing on anybody else. Tyson again responded, “It won’t happen to anybody. It only happens to the people that have vision, that inspires your vision. It makes them proud of you and all that s**t.

Tyson understands what Cardone felt at the time, as he’s also been through such grief during his childhood days. He has also suffered the death of his sister, mother, and daughter in all these years.
