In their latest fight with the unified heavyweight championship on the line, Daniel Dubois dropped his opponent Oleksandr Usyk in the fifth round. However, referee Luis Pabon declared the shot a low blow and subsequently allowed Usyk to recover without a count. Eventually, Usyk turned the tables, and in the ninth round, knocked out Dubois to snatch a controversial win.

In the wake of Dubois’ controversial defeat, promoter Frank Warren, in his article “Justice for Daniel,” declared that ‘Dynamite’ was “denied his moment of glory“. Besides questioning Pabon’s judgment, he argued that the “shot was indeed legitimate“. In addition, looking for an “ordered rematch,” Warren stated that they were putting forward a “compelling case” to the WBA. However, after Eddie Hearn reportedly claimed Warren no longer supported Dubois, the 71-year-old recently sent the former a harsh reality check.

According to Warren, the chairman of Matchroom has always got something unnecessary to say. In his opinion, Hearn would do much better if only he showed concern for his fighter Anthony Joshua. Likewise, on being informed that Hearn claimed Warren no longer pursued a rematch between Dubois and Usyk, the 71-year-old said, “I mean we’ve written to the WBA today, telling them that we want to. He’s [Hearn] always got some snide comment to make.”

All he needs to do is worry about how he’s going to deliver to ‘AJ’. What’s he going to deliver to ‘AJ’ and the fans, that’s all. Stop worrying about what we’re doing,” the founder of Queensberry Promotions added. In this context, Warren, who recently blasted Dan Rafael, even reminded Hearn of the progress made by Queensberry Promotions.

Warren jabs Hearn with “good quality boxing”

Besides reiterating that Hearn should “do your own thing,” Warren bragged about the fights Queensberry Promotions has offered. In his opinion, Queensberry Promotions is “putting some great shows together“. “Look at these title fights, world title fight, European title fight, final eliminator for a title, and British and Commonwealth title fights,” Warren announced. “These are fabulous nights, real good quality boxing. These are the types of fights the builders want to see, that’s what we are making,” he concluded.
